Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Madeira Negra places privacy and strict discretion as fundamental pillars of our relationship of excellence with you. We understand that true luxury demands absolute confidentiality in all spheres. This Policy details the rigorous protocols we adopt to protect your personal data, operating under impeccable ethics and in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Controller

Madeira Negra
Centro Comercial Domóvel, Lote 2, Loja 40
Rua de S. Domingos, 4590-060 Paços de Ferreira, Portugal

Madeira Negra is responsible for the processing of your personal data when you use this website or communicate with us.

2. Personal data we collect

Madeira Negra collects and processes only the data necessary for each purpose. These may include:

  • Identification: Name, and company if you provide it
  • Contacts: Email address, and phone number if you provide it
  • Communication data: Messages you send us through the website form, by email or through social media
  • Order and service data: Delivery address and the information necessary to provide furniture or interior design services, when there is an order
  • Newsletter consent: If you subscribe, we record the date and the IP address the subscription came from, as evidence of your consent

We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels or any tool that follows your browsing. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

3. How we use your data

To answer a request you send us through the website form; to send the newsletter to those who have subscribed; and to provide furniture or interior design services when there is an order.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, we do not build profiles, and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. On what grounds

When you ask us for a quote or information through the form, we keep your request in order to be able to respond to it and to take the steps you asked for. That is the ground on which we keep it.

The newsletter is different: it depends on your consent, which you give when you subscribe and can withdraw at any time through the link in every email. We record the exact wording you were shown and the moment you subscribed.

5. How long we keep it

We keep contact requests for one year, counted from the last time there was activity on the request, not from the day it arrived. A quote still under discussion after fourteen months does not disappear halfway through.

At the end of that period the request is anonymised, not deleted: the name, email, message, phone number and internal notes are removed, and what remains is the date, the final status and the page it came from, with nothing that identifies anyone.

A newsletter subscription is kept until you cancel it.

6. Who we share it with

We use Resend to send email. It processes the content of messages sent through the contact form and the newsletter subscriber list. We do not use any other third-party service that receives your data: there is no analytics, and there are no tracking pixels.

7. Your rights

You may ask us for access to the data we hold about you, correction of anything that is wrong, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and portability of the data you gave us. Write to the address in the last section and we will respond.

For the newsletter, cancelling is immediate through the link in every email.

So that you know what to expect: your data lives in our database, in our email inbox, and at Resend. When you ask us to delete it, we remove it from all three: the first automatically, the other two by hand.

8. Security

Access to the management area requires authentication, passwords are stored with argon2id and never in readable form, and sessions can be revoked immediately. Every change to content and to personal data is written to an audit record that cannot be altered or erased.

9. Changes to this policy

The date at the top of this page indicates the version in force. A material change is communicated to anyone who has subscribed to the newsletter.
